SX4 Crossover

Expanding on its popular SX4 line, Suzuki will introduce a new SportBack variant this fall aimed at value-oriented enthusiasts who demand equal measures of practicality and fun. Spun from the all-wheel-drive SX4 Crossover, the new SportBack trades its roof rack for a bolder grille and front fascia treatments and gets revised front/rear spoiler designs plus new side sills that tidy up the overall airflow. Inside, the SportBack's well-appointed cabin boasts a full range of power assists, a new instrument cluster, standard navigation system with enhanced 3D graphics, lane guidance, an XM-ready AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with Doppler weather and a split-folding rear seat. Like all 2010 SX4 iterations, the SportBack will be powered by a new 2.0-liter inline-four that makes 150 horses and 140 lb-ft of torque. Buyers can opt for either a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox or optional continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) complete with a "sport mode" and paddle-shifters. Underpinning the SportBack package is a more aggressively tuned suspension that brings a lower ride height, stiffer shocks and 17-inch alloy wheels mounting 205/50 all-season Dunlop tires as well as four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
